Today, KOMET perpetuates this know-how in the town of Millau, nestled in the heart of the Occitanie region, renowned for its long tradition in the field of ceramics. This tradition dates back to Gallo-Roman times, when the town was home to a major pottery production center: La Graufesenque.

KOMET was delighted to meet you at this 5th edition of the Salon du Fabriqué en Aveyron and to be part of the round table organised for the occasion.

Ceramics is not the first of Aveyron's traditional crafts to spring to mind. Who remembers that 2000 years ago, Millau was the leading ceramic production site in the Roman Empire? Its strategic location, at the confluence of the Tarn and Dourbie rivers, enabled it to export its production throughout the Empire until the early 3rd century.
